Hi, I’m Jaime.
I’m a photographer, coffee lover, introvert at heart, and mum to two beautiful miracle girls.
I’ve always been drawn to quiet moments, the ones most people walk past without noticing. Creativity has been part of me for as long as I can remember. Growing up with very little, imagination became my escape. I learned to observe deeply, create freely, and find beauty in the simple, unspoken parts of life.
My photography journey began in high school, when I first discovered analogue film. Something about the process completely pulled me in, the patience, the anticipation, and the magic of not knowing exactly what you’ve captured until it’s developed. Even the darkroom, which I was initially terrified of (thanks The Grudge), quickly became a place I loved. It taught me how to slow down and truly understand light, not just use it.
That foundation changed everything.
I went on to study visual arts further and found myself deeply influenced by photographers who capture raw, emotional truth. One of my biggest inspirations is Sally Mann. Her work taught me that beauty doesn’t have to be polished or perfect, it can be honest, messy, emotional, and real.
That idea still sits at the core of everything I create today.
Now I work digitally, but my approach is still shaped by those early film days. I don’t rush moments or over-direct them. I focus on light, feeling, and connection, creating images that are intentional, emotive, and true to you.
Life eventually brought me to Mount Isa, where I relocated and met the love of my life. Together, we’ve built our family and welcomed two beautiful babies into the world.
The outback quickly became my sanctuary.
Living amongst the vast, rugged beauty of the Kalkadoon land has been something I feel deeply grateful for. There’s a stillness here that grounds you, the red earth, the endless skies, the way light moves across the landscape. It has shaped not only my life, but the way I see and create.
This place has taught me to slow down even more, to notice more, and to appreciate the beauty in simplicity.
When I’m not photographing, you’ll usually find me with a coffee in hand, watching YouTube rabbit holes I never intended to start, or spending time with my kids.
I love slow, simple moments, walks with my girls, trips to the lake, and sitting quietly listening to birds and wind through the trees. I’m naturally introverted, and I think that’s why I’m so drawn to honest, unposed storytelling. I’m always noticing the in-between moments, the soft glances, the movement, the emotion that doesn’t need to be directed. And like anyone, I also love a good balance, an occasional spicy margarita and a night out with my girlfriends is my way of switching off and recharging.
My photography is guided by feeling.
I don’t over-pose or force perfection. I gently guide you so you feel comfortable, relaxed, and completely yourself. The magic always happens in the in-between moments—the laughter, the movement, the quiet connection.
I’m not here to create perfect images. I’m here to create honest ones.
I capture what is felt, not just what is seen.
I capture land as it erodes, shifts, and breathes.
What remains is what feels real.
